Methodology of development of fine motor skills and self-sufficiency of a child with mental disabilities of preschool age

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá rozvojem jemné motoriky a sebeobslužných činností u dítěte s mentálním postižením předškolního věku. Jemná motorika a prvky sebeobsluhy představují funkční oblasti, které je vhodné u dětí s mentálním postižením cíleně stimulovat podpůrným programem. Cílem práce je aplikovat zvolenou metodickou řadu cviků pro rozvoj jemné motoriky rukou a prstů s využitím prvků sebeobsluhy a následně vyhodnotit dosaženou úroveň výzkumného vzorku. Teoretická část diplomové práce je rozdělena do tří kapitol. V úvodu je popsána osobnost dítěte s mentálním postižením, tedy jsou zde vymezeny pojmy mentální retardace, diagnostika mentální retardace a charakteristika lehkého a středně těžkého mentálního postižení. Následuje kapitola zabývající se obsahem předškolního vzdělávání, jehož východiskem je Rámcový vzdělávací program pro předškolní vzdělávání. Jsou zde popsána také specifika vzdělání dětí s mentálním postižením. Ve třetí kapitole je zmapována funkční oblast jemné motoriky. Výzkumná část diplomové práce nabízí popis vypracované metodické řady cviků pro rozvoj jemné motoriky a analýzu dané metodiky na základě jejího dlouhodobého aplikování u výzkumného vzorku dětí.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the development of the fine motor skills and self-service activities of child of preschool age with mental disability. Fine motor skills and self-care elements are functional areas that are suitable for children with mental disabilities specifically for stimulation with support program. The goal of the thesis is to apply the chosen methodology of the development of fine motor skills of hands and fingers using elements of self-care, and then evaluate the achieved level of research sample. The theoretical part of the thesis is divided into three chapters. The introduction describes the personality of a child with mental disabilities, so there are definitions of the terms mental retardation, mental retardation diagnosis and characteristics of light and moderate intellectual disability. Followed by a chapter on the content of pre-school education, whose basis is the Framework educational program for pre-school education. There are also described the specifics of education of children with intellectual disabilities. The third chapter mapps functional area of fine motor skills. The research part of the thesis provides a description of the methodology development of fine motor skills and analysis of the methodology on the basis of long-term application of the research sample of children.
