Sparse cuts in graphs

Abstract:

Dokument se zabývá problematikou nejřidších řezů v neorientovaných grafech. Úvodní kapitola poskytuje úvod do dané problematiky. Druhá kapitola slouží k seznámení čtenářů se základními pojmy týkajícími se grafů. Třetí kapitola představuje vlastní čísla, Laplaceovu matici a normovanou Laplaceovu matici. Čtvrtá kapitola poskytuje pohled na problematiku hledání a odhadování vlastních čísel. Pátá kapitola se zabývá isoperimetrickými problémy v grafech a Cheegerovou konstantou. Poslední šestá kapitola je věnována kartézskému součinu grafů, bottleneck grafům, řezům v úplných bipartitních grafech a na závěr představuje hypotézu o nejřidším řezu v úplných tripartitních grafech spolu s obrysem jejího důkazu.

Abstract:

This document deals with the topic of sparsest cuts in undirected graphs. The introductory chapter provides an introduction to the subject. The second chapter serves to familiarize readers with the basic concepts concerning graphs. The third chapter introduces eigenvalues, the Laplacian matrix, and the normalized Laplacian matrix. The fourth chapter offers insight into the problem of finding and estimating eigenvalues. The fifth chapter delves into isoperimetric problems in graphs and the Cheeger constant. The final sixth chapter is devoted to the Cartesian product of graphs, bottleneck graphs, cuts in complete bipartite graphs, and, in conclusion, presents a hypothesis about the sparsest cut in complete tripartite graphs along with an outline of its proof.
