Abstract:

Cílem této závěrečné práce je vytvoření modulárního nástroje, s pomocí kterého bude možné extrahovat důležité datové vzory z binárních dat obecně neznámého původu. Binární data se mohou vyskytovat v mnoha různých podobách. V první části je proto představena řada standardně používaných kódování pro reprezentaci binárních dat. Následuje část s uvedením vybraných zajímavých datových vzorů, jejichž detekce umožňuje detailnější identifikaci určitých virtuálních nebo fyzických entit. Součástí závěrečné práce je také popis implementovaného nástroje, který automatizuje proces dekódování dat a extrakce datových vzorů, společně s výsledky spuštění nad shromážděnými daty.

Abstract:

This thesis aims to create a modular tool that can extract important patterns of interest from binary data of generally unknown origin. Binary data can come in many different forms. Therefore, several standard encodings used to represent binary data are introduced in the first part. A section introducing selected interesting data patterns whose detection allows for more detailed identification of certain virtual or physical entities follows. The thesis also includes a description of the implemented tool that automates data decoding and data pattern extraction, along with the results of a collected dataset processing.
