Security Aspects of Operation of Large Train Stations in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá současným stavem bezpečnostních aspektů v rámci provozu velkých vlakových nádraží v České republice. Cílem práce je na základě analýzy aktuální bezpečnostní situace na vlakových nádraží, vyhodnotit dosažená data a vytvořit návrhy k minimalizaci hrozeb. Teoretická část diplomové práce se zpočátku zabývá historií železniční dopravy v České republice i ve světě. Následuje vymezení důležitých pojmů, nezbytných pro další orientaci. Po definování právního rámce, jež se vztahuje k železniční dopravě práce postupuje k současnému stavu vlakových nádraží a zachycuje důležité statistiky, analýzy a dokumentace týkající se bezpečnosti v těchto areálech. Navazující praktická část se soustředí na rozšíření získaných informací z teoretické části, dle kterých hodnotí současné bezpečnostní situace pomocí analýzy SWOT. Dále jsou vedeny rozhovory s odpovědnými osobami v rámci vybraných vlakových nádraží. Na základě získaných informací je zhodnocena celková bezpečnostní situace a jsou navrženy konkrétní řešení ke zvýšení bezpečnosti na vlakových nádražích.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the current state of safety aspects in the operation of large train stations in the Czech Republic. The goal of the work is to evaluate the data obtained and to create proposals to minimize threats based on the analysis of the current security situation at train stations. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis initially deals with the history of railway transport in the Czech Republic and in the world. The following is a definition of important concepts necessary for further orientation. After defining the legal framework that applies to rail transport, the work progresses to the current state of train stations and captures important statistics, analyzes and documentation related to safety in these areas. The following practical part focuses on expanding the information obtained from the theoretical part, according to which it evaluates the current security situation using SWOT analysis. Furthermore, interviews are conducted with responsible persons within selected train stations. Based on the information obtained, the overall safety situation is assessed and specific solutions are proposed to increase safety at train stations.
