Determinants of exchange rate (for example CZK/EUR)

Abstract:

Diplomová práce s názvem Determinanty měnového kurzu (na příkladu CZK/EUR) si klade za cíl pojednat o jednotlivých determinantách a jejich vlivu na měnový kurz. Hlavními myšlenkami práce je charakterizovat měnový kurz, jeho druhy a systémy. Následně vytyčit fundamenty, které mají na měnový kurz vliv a popsat, jakým způsobem na kurz působí. Pozornost je také věnována teoriím měnového kurzu, konkrétně paritě kupní síly a paritě úrokové míry a také alternativním pohledům na determinanty měnového kurzu. Část práce se soustředí na zmapování vývoje měnového kurzu CZK/EUR od začátku existence české koruny až do současnosti. Přínosem práce je tedy rozbor ekonomického prostředí v jednotlivých letech 2003 ? 2010 a vývoj měnového páru CZK/EUR. Na základě toho rozboru je provedena predikce vývoje měnového kurzu pro rok 2011 s využitím fundamentální a technické analýzy. Celá práce je doplněna obrázky a grafickým znázorněním podstatných ekonomických jevů.

Abstract:

The thesis called Determinants of exchange rate (on the example CZK/EUR) aims to discuss the various determinants and their influence on the exchange rate. The main ideas of the thesis are to characterize the exchange rate its kinds and systems. Consequently to mark out the fundamentals that have an effect on the exchange rate and to describe how they influence the rate of exchange. The attention is also paid to the theories of the exchange rate namely to the purchasing power parity and interest rates and also to alternative views on the determinants of exchange rate. The part of this work focuses on mapping of the exchange rate CZK/EUR since the beginning of the existence of the Czech crown to the present. The benefit of this work is an analysis of the economic environment in the period 2003 - 2010 and development of the currency pair CZK/EUR. On basis of this analysis is made the prediction of the development of the exchange rate for 2011 by using fundamental and technical analysis. The whole work is complemented by images and graphic representations of significant economic events.
