Supervision ot the Financial Market in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Předmětem bakalářské práce na téma „Dohled nad finančním trhem v České republice„ je analýza celého systému vykonávání dohledu nad finančním trhem v České republice a zhodnocení současného stavu vykonávání dohledu. Úvodní kapitola definuje základní pojmy, popisuje důvody regulace a dohledu, vymezuje funkce finančního trhu. Zaměřuje se na Českou národní banku jako na jediný orgán vykonávající dohled nad finančním trhem v České republice. Ve druhé kapitole jsou popsány segmenty finančních trhů, jejich členění, oblasti dohledu a účastníci finančních trhů. Třetí kapitola popisuje integraci dohledu v České republice, která proběhla již v roce 2006 a uvádí důvody pro integraci ale také důvody které byly proti. Je zde popsáno institucionální uspořádání finanční regulace a dohledu a její modely. V závěrečné čtvrté kapitole je popsáno zhodnocení současného stavu vykonávání dohledu nad finančním trhem, provedení samotné integrace, legislativních změn, které by měly být co nejdříve uskutečněny.

Abstract:

The bachelor’s thesis called “Financial Market Supervision in the Czech Republic” is an analysis of the whole system of financial market supervision in the Czech Republic and an evaluation of current state of supervision performance. The introductory chapter defines basic terms, describes the reasons of a supervision regulation and specifies the functions of financial market. Additionally, it focuses on the Czech National Bank as the only body, which performs the financial market supervision in the Czech Republic. In the second chapter, there is a description of financial market segments, their division, areas of supervision and the characterization of financial market participants. The third chapter describes the integration of the supervision in the Czech Republic, which was realized in 2006 and gives the reasons for the integration but also against it. There is a description of the institutional organization of financial regulation and supervision and its models. In the final chapter, there is the evaluation of the current performance of financial market supervision, the description of the realization of the integration and the difficulties concerning legislation changes, which should be realized as soon as possible.
