Posttraumatická změna u bývalých onkologických pacientů: souvislost s interpersonální závislostí a autonomní orientací

Post-traumatic change among cancer survivors: Relation with interpersonal dependency and autonomy orientation

Abstract:

Cílem prezentovaného výzkumu je popsat změny, které lidé pociťují po prodělání onkologického onemocnění. Kromě deskripce posttraumatické změny se práce zaměřuje na její možnou souvislost s interpersonální závislostí a autonomní orientací. Výzkumu se zúčastnilo 77 bývalých onkologických pacientů. Posttraumatická změna byla u respondentů zachycena pomocí otevřených otázek. Interpersonální závislost a autonomní orientace byly měřeny standardizovanými dotazníky. Výsledky výzkumu naznačují poměrně vysokou prevalenci posttraumatické změny. Naprostá většina bývalých onkologických pacientů (94,8%) ve volné výpovědi uvedla alespoň jednu posttraumatickou změnu. Nadpoloviční většina popisovaných změn přitom byla vnímána pozitivně (64,5%), podstatně menší část (17,2%) uváděných změn měla negativní valenci. Mezi nejčastěji popisované kladné změny patří kategorie pozitivní změna ve vztahu k druhým lidem a život v plnosti. Z negativních posttraumatických změn bývalí onkologičtí pacienti nejčastěji uváděli zdravotní komplikace a omezení v činnostech. Spojení posttraumatické změny s autonomní orientací a interpersonální závislostí však výsledky výzkumu nepotvrdily.

Abstract:

This research aims to describe changes that experience cancer survivors. Study is focused on description of posttraumatic change and its possible connection with interpersonal dependency and autonomy orientation. Seventy seven cancer survivors participated in the research. Participants completed survey assessing perception of posttraumatic change and standard measures of interpersonal dependency and autonomy orientation. Results of the study indicate relatively high prevalence of post-traumatic changes. An absolute majority of cancer survivors (94,8%) mentioned at least one posttraumatic change. Most of the described changes were perceived positively (64,5%). Considerably smaller proportion of changes (17,2%) had negative valence. The most frequently reported categories of positive changes were the positive change in relation to others and the fullness of life. Two most frequently described negative changes were health problems and activity restriction. Results of the study did not confirm any connection between posttraumatic change, interpersonal dependency and autonomy orientation.
