Comparison of laterality and level of children's drawing

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce Srovnání laterality a úrovně dětské kresby je zaměřena na zkoušku laterality a test kresby postavy u dětí předškolního věku a spojitost mezi nimi. V teoretické části práce se zabývá jak problematikou laterality, levorukých jedinců a typů laterality, tak kresby, konkrétně testu kresby postavy a jeho symbolikou, či historií. V závěru teoretické části jsou uvedeny také znaky a zvláštnosti kreseb u diagnostických jedinců např. s epilepsií, dysfunkcemi, či vážnějším onemocněním jako je dětská mozková obrna. Praktická část práce je vytvořena na základě uskutečněného výzkumného šetření, které bylo zaměřeno na zjištění počtu levorukých a pravorukých jedinců ve věku 4-6 let a získáním kresby postavy u stejných dětí k možnosti posouzení výsledků těchto kreseb. Respondentů bylo celkem 50, z toho 54 % dívek a 46 % chlapců, a největší zastoupení měly děti ve věku 5 a 6 let. Levorukých i pravorukých jedinců je stejně, a to 30 %. Neočekávaným výsledkem oproti teorii a dosavadním výzkumům, byl vysoký počet nevyhraněných jedinců a to 40 %, a to hlavně u starších dětí (5-6 let). Výzkum probíhal v mateřské škole Bílovec, v mateřské škole Velké Albrechtice a tanečním zájmovém kroužku s názvem Bailando.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis Comparison of laterality and the level of children's drawing is focused on the laterality exam and the test of figure drawing in preschool children and the connection between them. In the theoretical part of the thesis, I dealt with the issue of laterality, left-handed individuals and types of laterality, as well as drawing, specifically the test of drawing a figure and its symbolism or history. At the end of the theoretical part, I also present signs and peculiarities of drawings in diagnostic individuals, e.g. with epilepsy, dysfunctions, or more serious diseases such as cerebral palsy. The practical part of the thesis is created on the basis of the research carried out, which was focused on finding the number of left-handed and right-handed individuals aged 4-6 years, and obtaining a drawing of the figure in the same children to assess the results of these drawings. There were 50 respondents, including 54% girls and 46% boys, with children aged 5 and 6 having the largest representation. Left-handed and right-handed individuals are the same, namely 30%. An unexpected result compared to the theory and previous research was a high number of undefined individuals, namely 40%, especially in older children (5-6 years). The research took place in the kindergarten Bílovec, in the kindergarten Velké Albrechtice and dance interest group called Bailando.
