Seniors and smart health focused technology

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá postoji, zkušenostmi a hlavními faktory ovlivňujícími míru využívání smart technologií zaměřených na zdraví seniorů. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na biologické, psychické a sociální změny, které s sebou stáří přináší a možný přínos smart technologií v tomto věkovém období. V kontextu pojetí k tématu práce jsou taktéž nastíněny potřeby seniorů a následující podkapitoly nabízejí přehled o již zmíněných dosavadních postojích, zkušenostech a hlavních faktorech. Práce v teoretické části taktéž nabízí kapitolu o využitelnosti technologií v životě seniora v kontextu zdraví a vhodně smart technologie rozděluje a charakterizuje. Cílem výzkumné části bylo zjistit, jaké jsou postoje a zkušenosti seniorů s používáním smart technologií zaměřených na zdraví v jejich domácím prostředí, a jaké faktory mohou využívání smart technologií u seniorů v domácím prostředí ovlivňovat. Výzkumná část byla zpracována formou strukturovaného dotazníku, který vyplnilo sto respondentů seniorského věku.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with attitudes, experiences and main factors affecting the degree of use of smart technologies aimed at the health of seniors. The theoretical part focuses on the biological, psychological and social changes that old age brings and the possible contribution of smart technologies in this age period. In the context of the concept of the topic of work, the needs of seniors are also outlined, and the following subsections offer an overview of the previously mentioned attitudes, experiences and main factors. The work in the theoretical part also offers a chapter on the usability of technology in the life of a senior citizen in the context of health and appropriately divides and characterizes smart technologies. The aim of the research part was to find out what are the attitudes and experiences of seniors with the use of health-oriented smart technologies in their home environment, and what factors can influence the use of smart technologies by seniors in the home environment. The research part was processed in the form of a structured questionnaire, which was filled out by one hundred respondents of senior age.
