Female stress urinary incontinence and its impact on quality of life

Abstract:

Teoreticko - průzkumná práce se zabývá problematikou stresové inkontinence moči u žen a jejím dopadem na kvalitu života. Předkládá aktuální poznatky o rizikových faktorech, vyšetřovacích metodách a léčebných postupech. Definuje kvalitu života a možnosti jejího hodnocení se zaměřením na ženy trpící stresovou inkontinencí. Důležitým aspektem v primární a sekundární péči je role porodní asistentky a perioperační sestry, které zaujímají významnou roli v oblasti edukace a napomáhají zvýšit kvalitu života žen. V průzkumné části jsou prezentována data získaná pomocí české verze standardizovaných dotazníků vytvořených k hodnocení kvality života žen se stresovou inkontinencí. Hlavním cílem průzkumného šetření bylo zjistit, jaká je kvalita života žen se stresovou inkontinencí moči před operací pomocí implantace transobturatorní pásky (TOT Trans Obturator Tape) u nově použitého materiálu PVDF (polyvinylidenfluorid) a kvalita života žen po implantaci transobturatorní pásky pod močovou trubici u vybraného souboru respondentek.

Abstract:

The theoretical - analytical diploma thesis explores the issue of stress urinary incontinence in women and its impact on quality of life. It presents a current knowledge of risk factors, examination methods and possible treatments. It defines the quality of life and possibilities of its evaluation, with the main focus on women suffering from stress incontinence. An important aspect in primary and secondary care is the role of a midwife as well as a perioperative nurse, playing a crucial role in patient's education, hence having a direct impact on improving the quality of women's life. The analytical part presents data obtained using the Czech version of standardized questionnaires, created to assess the quality of women's life with stress incontinence. The main goal of this survey was to determine the quality of life when effected by stress urinary incontinence, specifically prior to surgery involving the implantation of a transobturator tape (TOT Trans Obturator Tape) with a newly used material PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) and quality of life after the implantation of transobturator tape under the urethra amongst selected respondents.
