The Spatial Analysis of Accommodation Capacities of the Eastern Part of the Bohemian-Saxon Area

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá prostorovou analýzou ubytovacích kapacit v severočeských okresech Česká Lípa, Děčín, Teplice a Ústí nad Labem a v sousedících saských zemských okresech Budyšín, Saské Švýcarsko-Východní Krušné hory a Zhořelec. Hlavním cílem diplomové práce je zhodnocení prostorové distribuce lůžkových kapacit v uvedených okresech a v jejich dílčích lokalitách. Zdrojem dat pro analýzu byla vlastní databáze ubytovacích kapacit. Vyhodnocována byla také sekundární data ze statistických úřadů o návštěvnosti jednotlivých okresů. Za účelem naplnění cíle byla použita územní komparační analýza. Bylo zjištěno, že koncentrace lůžkové kapacity je vyšší v české části analyzovaného území, přičemž nejvyšší je v okrese Děčín. Jako opatření bylo navrženo využít Lužické hory při propagaci Národního parku České Švýcarsko jako doplněk při prezentaci turistické nabídky.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the spatial analysis of accommodation capacities in the North Bohemian districts of Česká Lípa, Děčín, Teplice and Ústí nad Labem and in the neighbouring Saxon districts of Bautzen, Sächsische Schweiz-Osterzgebirge and Görlitz. The main objective of the thesis is to evaluate the spatial distribution of bed capacities in these districts and their sub-locations. The source of data for the analysis was our own database of accommodation capacities. Secondary data from the statistical offices on the number of visitors in each district were also evaluated. A spatial comparative analysis was used to meet the objective. It was found that the concentration of bed capacity is higher in the Czech part of the analysed area, with the highest concentration in the district of Decin. As a measure, it was proposed to use the Lusatian Mountains in the promotion of the Bohemian Switzerland National Park as a complement to the presentation of the tourist offer.
