Reaganomics. On the birth, functioning and reflection of reaganomics in the 1980s. A Contribution to U.S. History during the Ronald Reagan Administration

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je komplexní analýzou ekonomické politiky zavedené během prezidentství Ronalda Reagana ve Spojených státech, známé jako reaganomika. Práce zkoumá intelektuální kořeny a teoretické základy reaganomiky, které spočívají v principu volného trhu a minimalizace role státu v ekonomice. Klíčové komponenty této politiky, včetně snížení daní, deregulace a omezení vládních výdajů, jsou analyzovány s ohledem na jejich krátkodobé a dlouhodobé dopady na americkou i světovou ekonomiku. Práce také adresuje kritiku reaganomiky ze strany různých politických a ekonomických skupin, která poukazuje na sociální nerovnosti a dlouhodobé fiskální problémy jako důsledky těchto politik. Výsledkem této práce je objektivní pohled na ekonomický model reaganomiky a jeho skutečný vliv na americkou společnost a ekonomiku v osmdesátých letech 20. století.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with a comprehensive analysis of the economic policies implemented during the presidency of Ronald Reagan in the United States, known as reaganomics. The thesis explores the intellectual roots and theoretical underpinnings of reaganomics, which are rooted in the principles of free markets and minimizing the role of the state in the economy. Key components of this policy, including tax cuts, deregulation, and reductions in government spending, are analyzed with respect to their short- and long-term effects on the U.S. and global economy. The paper also addresses criticisms of reaganomics by various political and economic groups, pointing to social inequality and long-term fiscal problems as consequences of these policies. The result of this work is an objective look at the economic model of reaganomics and its actual impact on American society and economy in the 1980s.
