Computer analysis of local similarity in biological sequences
Abstract:
V moderní biologii a bioinformatice se používá míra podobnosti mezi sekvencemi proteinů k odvození jejich možné funkce nebo struktury. Cesta ke globální podobnosti mezi sekvencemi často vede přes určování kratších, lokálních podobností. Program vytvářený s touto prací vyhodnocuje vzájemnou podobnost proteinů na základě výskytů lokálních segmentů a důležitosti vlastností funkčnosti a struktury.
Abstract:
In modern biology and bioinformatics, the degree of similarity between protein sequences is used to derive their function or structure. Global similarity between sequences can be estimated from identification and evaluation of shorter local similarities.
