The Perception of Life Situation of Homeless Women by Social Workers in Facilities for Homeless People

Abstract:

V této práci se zabývám percepcí životní situace žen bez přístřeší sociálními pracovníky a pracovnicemi v zařízeních pro osoby bez přístřeší a také percepcí životní situace z pohledu samotných žen bez domova. Cílem diplomové práce je zodpovědět výzkumnou otázku: „Co pomáhá a co ztěžuje sociálním pracovníkům lépe porozumět životní situaci žen bez domova?“ Práce je členěna do tří částí. V teoretické části jsou vymezeny pojmy, související s hlavní výzkumnou otázkou a snažím se v ní zachytit škálu možností i překážek, které by mohly mít vliv na výkon sociálních pracovníků při práci s ženami bez přístřeší. Další část obsahuje metodologii, v níž shrnuji dílčí výzkumné otázky, popisuji metodu a techniku výzkumu, výběr vzorku cílové skupiny a zpracování dat. Poslední část je věnována analýze a interpretaci údajů a odpovědím na dílčí výzkumné otázky. V závěru práce odpovídám na hlavní výzkumnou otázku a formuluji doporučení pro praxi.

Abstract:

In this thesis I deal with the perception of life situation of homeless women by social workers in facilities for the homeless people and also perception of life situation from the perspective of the homeless women themselves. The goal of the thesis is to answer the research question: What helps and what makes it difficult for social workers better understand of life situation of the homeless woman? The work is divided into three parts. In the theoretical part I define terms related to the main research question and I try to capture in it the range of opportunities and barriers that might affect on performance of social workers working with homeless women. Another part contains the methodology, which I summarize partial research questions, describe the method and technique of research, the selection of the target group and data processing. The last part is dedicated to the analysis and interpretation of data and answers to the research questions. In conclusion, I answer on the main research question and formulate recommendation for practice.
