The reason of unsuccesful therapy of balbuties

Abstract:

Souhrn Tato práce by měla vysvětlit neúspěšný pokus o nápravu porušené komunikační schopnosti, či, lépe řečeno, o nedostatečnou komunikační dovednost způsobenou koktavostí jednoho mého žáka . První část vymezila, co porucha znamená, její příznaky a etiologii. Druhá část zahrnuje diagnostické metody, vymezení poruchy a obecné metody nápravy užívané a doporučované v naší zemi. Třetí část popisuje výsledky mého vlastního zkoumání v tomto konkrétní případě. Zjistil jsem, že hlavním problémem nejspíš není v použité metodice a pomocných technikách, které byly, jak jsem zjistil rozhovorem s klientem standardní. Dá se s jistotou říci, že je to postoj všech členů rodiny klienta k problému. Očekávání rychlého úspěchu se nenaplnila. Proto ani klient, ani jeho rodina neviděli smysl v pokračování terapie. Místo toho se rozhodli zvládat a řídit koktavost a žít s ní. Zdá se, že o konečném výsledku šetření bylo rozhodnuto dávno předem.Závěr práce zahrnuje dotazníky, které vyplnil sám klient a jeho matka, tabulky vyjadřující jejich postoje.

Abstract:

Summary This work should have been an explanation of an unsuccessful attempt to correct the malfunction or, better speaking, a lack of communicative skills caused by stuttering of one of my pupils. The first part limited what that malfunction means, its symptoms and ethiology. It also includes classifying disorder. The second part includes methods of diagnosis, determination disorder and general methods of therapy used and recommended in this country. The third part describes the results of my own research of the particular case. I have found that the main problem probably is not the used methods and supporting technique, which I found in an interview to be standard ones. It is safe to say it is the attitude of all members of clients family to the problem. The expectation of a fast success was not really fulfilled. Therefore neither the client himself nor the family have found the sense in continuation of therapy. They choose to manage and control stuttering and to live with it instead. The final ascertainment seems be the foregone conclusion. The end of the work includes questionnaires filled by the client and his mother, the charts representing attitudes of respondents.
