Ways how to bring Roma communities closer together

Abstract:

Anotace Bakalářská práce s názvem Cesty sblížení romských komunit je zaměřena na výzkum historických skutečností, které vedly k rodové nesnášenlivosti mezi dvěma romskými komunitami. Odhalením historických dat a skutečných důvodů práce nachází shody ve vývoji romských komunit a hledá způsoby, jak tyto shody vyzdvihnout a pomoci tak sblížení obou komunit. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí, a to část první – teoretická, ve které nalezneme hlavní data z historie, kultury a tradic dvou protikladných romských rodů, a část druhá – praktická – ve které nalezneme rozhovory a odpovědi na výzkumné otázky týkajících se možnosti sblížení obou komunit. Výzkumná šetření obsahují analýzy těchto rozhovorů. Analýzy jsou zpracovávány a vyhodnoceny pomocí interpretativní fenomenologické analýzy. Bakalářská práce si klade za cíl vyzdvihnout shody v kulturně-historickém vývoji obou komunit a podpořit snahy ke skutečnému sblížení obou komunit.

Abstract:

Abstract The bachelor’s thesis The Ways to Rapprochement of Rumungers and Wallach Romanies is focused on the study of historical facts that led to sub-ethnic intolerance between two Romani communities. By revealing historical data and real reasons, the thesis finds agreements in the development of the Romani communities and looks for ways to highlight the agreements in order to help reach rapprochement the two communities. The thesis is divided into two parts: the first – theoretical part which provides main data connected to history, culture, and traditions of the two opposing Romani sub-ethnic groups; and the second – practical part which includes interviews and answers to research questions related to the possibility of rapprochement of the two communities. The research includes analyses of these interviews. The analyses are processed and evaluated using the Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis. The aim of the bachelor’s thesis is to highlight the agreements in the cultural-historical development of the two communities and to support efforts to reach authentic rapprochement of the two communities.
