Users and staff satisfaction with the wet house type of social service

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce bylo podrobněji zmapovat faktory, které souvisí se spokojeností pracovníků a uživatelů konkrétní sociální služby typu wet house v ČR. V teoretické části bylo mou ambicí popsat pozici tohoto typu zařízení v systému sociálních služeb u nás a upozornit na tuzemské i zahraniční příklady dobré praxe. Praktická část sestává ze dvou forem polostrukturovaných rozhovorů, které byly realizovány s pracovníky a uživateli konkrétní registrované sociální služby, a jejichž tématem byly faktory, které souvisí s jejich spokojeností, resp. nespokojeností s touto službou. Obě skupiny respondentů jsou se službou spíše spokojeny, přičemž uživatelé často akcentovali téma bezpečí a respektujícího přístupu pracovníků, s nímž se ve službě setkávají, a pracovníci postrádali silnější personální pokrytí služby a zamýšleli se nad tématem hranic ve vztahu k uživatelům. Odpovědí na frekventovaná témata může být širší využití supervize, teambuildingové aktivity s odborným lektorem nebo rozšíření pracovního týmu.

Abstract:

The purpose of this bachelor thesis was to map in more detail the factors that are related to the satisfaction of workers and users of a specific social service type wet house in the Czech Republic. The aim of the theoretical part was to describe the position of this type of facility in the system of social services in the Czech Republic and to describe domestic and foreign examples of good practice. The practical part consists of two forms of semi-structured interviews conducted with workers and users of a specific registered social service, the topic of which was factors related to their satisfaction or dissatisfaction with this service. Both groups of respondents were rather satisfied with the service, with users often emphasising the theme of safety and respectful attitudes of staff they found in the service and staff lacking stronger staffing coverage of the service and reflecting on the theme of boundaries in relation to users. The response to the frequent themes may be to make greater use of supervision, team building activities with a specialist tutor, or expanding the working team.
