Modelling of Subway Stations Built by Pile Beam Arch Method

Abstract:

Faced with increasing traffic pressure in China, the development of urban subways is imperative. The subway is conducive to making full use of land resources and underground space, which can facilitate the work and life of the citizens. It is an important means to solve the diminishing road area per capita in large and medium cities. However, the economic cost of building a subway is still very large, so the first thing to consider when choosing a construction method is the economic factor. Therefore, many engineers prefer the open cut method because it is simple and economical to operate. However, the open cut method will affect the traffic inconvenience caused by road traffic. Therefore, the open cut method has rarely been applied in the downtown area. The cover-cut method also interferes with urban life. The shield method is applicable to a wide range of strata, but currently the construction method cannot be applied to metro stations. In comparison, the PBA method is relatively economical and has low interference and is suitable for various tunnel sections. More importantly, it can be combined with other construction methods and complement each other. Therefore, the PBA method has gradually become the preferred method for the construction of Chinese subway stations. This study takes the underground excavation section of Zhongjie subway station as the engineering background. Analysis was carried out by on-site monitoring of surface settlement data. The whole process of the PBA construction was simulated using MIDAS GTS software. Study the force mechanism of the PBA method and the influence on the settlement of the earth's surface. Analyze structural deformation law and structural internal force variation law. By comparing and analyzing the simulation results and measured data, the reasonable feasibility of the simulation model is demonstrated. And sum up the experience and research of other scholars, improve the theoretical system of PBA construction method, and provide a certain theoretical basis for the construction of such subways in the future.
