This thesis discusses three novels by the British postmodern writer Angela Carter: Nights at the Circus (1984), Wise Children (1991) and The Magic Toyshop (1967). Abstract:
Práce se soustředí na tři romány britské postmoderní spisovatelky Angely Carter: Nights at the Circus (1984), Wise Children (1991) a The Magic Toyshop (1967). Práce řeší ztvárnění zrůdnosti nezávisle na pohlaví jednotlivých postav a podrývá tak tradiční přístup a vnímání monster a monstrozity i v mýtech a pohádkách prostřednictvím zpochybnění genderu a sexuality.
