Usage of laser in diagnostics of eye illnesses

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce pojednává o diagnostických laserech a jejich využití v oftalmologii. Nejvíce informací je uvedeno u následujících diagnostických laserů - optická koherentní tomografie (OCT), GDx nerve fiber analyzer, Heidelberský retinální tomograf (HRT) a retina thickness analyzer (RTA). U těchto přístrojů jsou rovněž zmíněna i častá oční onemocnění, která jimi lze diagnostikovat či monitorovat. Závěrem jsou vyjmenovány a stručně popsány některé další diagnostické lasery (laserová skenovací topografie (TopSS), optická biometrie, sítnicová kamera, konfokální laserová mikroskopie, Heidelberský retinální flowmetr, rohovková topografie, wavefront analysis, retina vessel analyzer, laser flare-cell meter, retinometr).

Abstract:

This thesis deals with diagnostic lasers and their usage in ophthalmology. Most information refers to following diagnostic lasers - optical coherence tomography (OCT), GDx nerve fiber analyzer, Heidelberg retina tomograph (HRT), and retina thickness analyzer (RTA). In connection with them there are also mentioned frequent eye illnesses that can be diagnosed or monitored through the use of these apparatuses. In the final part, there are listed and briefly described some other diagnostic lasers laser scanning topography (TopSS), optical biometry, fundus camera, confocal laser scanning microscopy, Heidelberg retina flowmeter, corneal topography, wavefront analysis, retina vessel analyzer, laser flare-cell meter, retinometer).
