Applied management style in healthcare

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá zmapováním uplatňovaného stylu vedení v daném zdravotnickém zařízení se zaměřením na styl transakčně-transformační. Hlavním přínosem je zjištění, jaký manažerský styl vedení převládá na daném oddělení ze strany vrchní sestry vůči sestrám podřízeným, a jaký dopad má daný styl na hodnocení úspěšnosti týmu a lídra. Odborná práce se skládá ze dvou částí, teoretické a praktické. V teoretické části jsou vysvětleny základní pojmy a techniky spjaté s tímto tématem, je uveden přehled vývoje koncepcí manažerských stylů a přiblížení stylu transakčně transformačního k lepšímu porozumění stěžejního tématu. Pro vytvoření praktické části byl zvolen kvantitativní výzkum pomocí dotazníkového šetření. Výsledky šetření jsou prezentovány formou grafů a tabulek. Tyto výsledky jsou získané za pomoci analýzy dat, konkrétně průměru, směrodatné odchylky, modusu a korelačního koeficientu.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis deals with mapping the applied leadership style in a given medical facility with a focus on the transaction-transformation style. The main benefit is to find out what managerial style of leadership prevails in a given department on the part of the head nurse over subordinate staff nurses, and what impact the given style has on the evaluation of the success of the team and the leader. This thesis consists of two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part explains the fundamental concepts and techniques associated with this topic, provides an overview of the development of concepts of managerial styles and approaching the transactional transformation style to a better understanding of the key topic. Quantitative research using a questionnaire survey was chosen to create the practical part. The results of the survey are presented by graphs and tables. These results are obtained by analyzing the data, namely the mean, standard deviation, mode and correlation coefficient.
