Emanuel Frynta's poetry and its readers' reception

Abstract:

Diplomová práce Poezie Emanuela Frynty a její čtenářská recepce je věnována analýze vybraných Fryntových básní z básnické sbírky Písničky bez muziky a dotazníkovému šetření, v kterém byla u pubescentů zkoumána úroveň čtenářské recepce tří Fryntových textů ze zmíněné sbírky. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části, teoretickou a praktickou. V teoretické části je pojednáno o komice, její teorii a o životě Emanuela Frynty. Dále jsou zde po jazykové a obsahové stránce rozebrány vybrané básně Emanuela Frynty a uvedeny základní informace o pubescentech a jejich vztahu ke čtenářství a četbě poezie. Praktická část podává výsledky vyhodnocení dotazníkového šetření, které proběhlo v 6. a 7. třídách základní školy a jež přineslo informace o tom, na jaké úrovni tito žáci komunikovali s komickým básnickým textem. Prostřednictvím dotazníků bylo zjišťováno, zda pubescenti dokáží odhalit komično v básni, rozpoznat slovní hříčku a nalézt hlubší význam básně.

Abstract:

A dissertation named Poetry of Emanuel Frynta and its reader’s reception inscribes an analysis of selected poems from Songs without music, a Frynta’s book of poetry and also a questionnaire survey, where a level of reader’s reception of three Frynta’s texts from the referenced book of poetry is analyzed in pubescents. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretic and practical. The theoretical part discusses humor, its theory and the life of Emanuel Frynta. Furthermore selected poems of Emanuel Frynta are analyzed from linguistic and contentual aspects here and basic facts about pubescents and their relationship to reading as such and reading of poetry are presented in this section. The practical part reports the results of a questionnaire survey that took place in 6th and 7th grade of a primary school which also brought information about the student’s level of communication with the poetic text. By means of the questionnaires it was investigated whether the pubescents are able to detect humor in the poem, recognize play on words and find a deeper meaning of a poem.
