Laser as an innovative method in the fight against unwanted birds

Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce je „Laser jako inovativní metoda v boji proti nežádou-címu výskytu ptactva“. Tato metoda byla zvolena na základě efektivity, šetrnosti vůči ptákům a životnímu prostředí. Navazuje na bakalářskou práci, kde jsou analyzovány střety ptáků s letadly na základě barevného označení letadel a vnímání barevného spek-tra ptáků podložené celou řadou vědeckých studií a pokusů zde zmíněných. Sběr dat probíhal v sezóně 2021 na 19 vinicích jižní Moravy. Na viničných tratích v obcích Troskotovice a Velké Bílovice byly instalovány 3 lasery Avix Autonomic se zeleným paprskem. Data obsahovala informace kvantifikující ztráty při sklizni bez využití laseru, před a po použití laseru.

Abstract:

The subject of the diploma thesis is Laser as an innovative method in the fight against the unwanted occurrence of birds. This method was chosen on the basis of efficiency, care for birds and the environment. This work follows up on my bachelor's thesis, which analysed the collisions of birds with aircraft based on the colour coding of aircraft and the perception of the colour spectrum of birds based on a number of scientific studies and experiments mentioned here. Data collection took place in the 2021 at nineteen vineyards in the south Moravia. An Avix Autonomic laser with a green beam was installed in the vineyards (Troskotov-ice, Velké Bílovice). The data contained information quantifying harvest losses before and after laser use.
