Rodina je prostředím, ve kterém si člověk utváří prvotní sociální zkušenosti a návyky. Pro dobré fungování společnosti je v zájmu státu rodiny podporovat. Mezi hlavní cíle rodinné politiky patří zmírňování narůstajících nákladů rodin spojených s výchovou mladé generace.
