Design of coffee table in living area

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na design konferenčního stolku do obytného prostoru. Cílem práce bylo přijít na nový design stolku, který bude nejen vzhledově lákavý, ale současně i funkční a ergonomický, za pomocí nových technologií. Za tu jsem zvolila výklopné kování. To poskytne úložný prostor přímo v odkládací desce a vyvýšenou plochu, třeba pro práci na počítači. Oproti klasickému pružinovému kování má v sobě již zabudované pomalé zavírání a zámek proti náhodnému zavření, což snižuje šance na úraz.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis is focused on the design of the coffee table for the living space. The aim of the work was to come up with a new table design, which will be not only visually appealing, but also functional and ergonomic, with using new technologies. I chose lifting frame mechanism for that. This will provide storage space directly in the storage board and an elevated area, for working on a computer for example. Compared to the classic spring hinges, it already has a slow closing and a lock against accidental closing, which reduces the chances of injury.
