Bakalářská práce se zabývá specifiky role prarodičů - babiček, jež jsou v možnostech osobního kontaktu se svým vnoučaty limitovány rozdělující vzdáleností trvalých bydlišť. Teoretická část je věnována vysvětlení pojmů jako je mezigenerační přenos, role prarodiče, sociální interakce mezi členy rodiny, či možnosti on-line komunikace.
