Catering Services Market

Abstract:

The aim of this Bachelors degree thesis to focus on, and to compare two catering companies in Prague, namely Perfect Catering s.r.o. and Zátiší Catering Group a.s. Both companies work in the Czech Republic, the bigger company Zatiší has been trading for 26 years and the smaller company, Perfect Catering has been trading for 10 years. The focus of the work will be to examine the different ways the two companies organize and perform the same event.The theoretical part will set out the definitions and characteristics of catering services and the different types, catering as a whole, the legislation and hygiene conditions, certification, employees, marketing and selling of a catering service.The analytic part will describe the event – a banquet provided by the two companies. It contains structured interviews based on questions that I designed about customer demand, conditions of the event, execution, information about the individual clients, marketing and the operator (the company which is going the work for the client). In both companies I am comparing the provision of a banquet, where I see in reality the step by step procedure followed after a client places an order. The suggestions section focuses on recommendations to improve the service for the customer and optimize the process.

Abstract:

Cieľom tejto bakalárskej práce je deskriptívne rozobrať dve cateringové spoločnosti v Prahe. Pozornosť bude venovaná konkrétnym spoločnostiam, Perfect Catering s.r.o. a Zátiší Catering Group a.s. Obidve spoločnosti pôsobia na trhu v Českej republike, veľká spoločnosť Zátiší Catering podnikajúca v cateringu 26 rokov a stredná spoločnosť Perfect Catering podnikajúca v cateringu 10 rokov. V nich je skúmaná zhodná jedna akcia raut, kde porovnávame rozdiely pri organizácii a realizácii akcie. V teoretickej časti sa zaoberáme definíciou a charakteristikou stravovacích služieb a ich druhmi, vymedzením pojmu catering ako celku, legislatívnymi a hygienickými podmienkami, certifikáciou, pracovníkmi, marketingom a predajom cateringovej služby. Analytická časť opisuje akciu raut dvoch spoločností. Obsahuje štruktúrovaný rozhovor na základe mnou vypracovanými otázkami o spotrebiteľskom dopyte, podmienkach jednotlivej akcie, prevedení, o jednotlivých klientoch, marketingu a o prevádzkovateľovi. V oboch spoločnostiach bola odpracovaná akcia, raut, kde sa v praxi sleduje postup a zaistenie akcie objednanej klientom. V návrhovej časti sú predložené odporučenia k zlepšeniu poskytovania služieb a optimalizácii prevádzky.
