The Topic ´Poverty in the Old-Age´ in Social Policy or Social Work Journals

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje tématu chudoby ve stáří, zabývá se vztahem a souvislostmi mezi těmito dvěma pojmy. Práce je rozdělena na čtyři kapitoly, první kapitola se zabývá teoretickým vymezením chudoby, chudobou a sociálním vyloučením v České republice, ekonomickou situací seniorů, finanční soběstačností seniorů a mýtem univerzální chudoby ve stáří. Druhá kapitola je zaměřena na definice stárnutí a stáří, odchod do důchodu a problematiku stárnutí populace. Třetí kapitola pojednává o obsahové analýze článků vybraných periodik z oboru sociální politika či sociální práce, jejímž cílem je zjistit, jak odborná periodika reflektují chudobu ve stáří a vztah sociální práce čtvrtá kapitola je věnována diskuzi výsledků výše zmíněné obsahové analýzy.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the issue of poverty in the old age, deals with relations and connections between these two concepts. The work is divided into four chapters, the first chapter deals with the theoretical definition of the poverty, poverty and social exclusion in the Czech republic, the economic situation of the seniors, senior?s financial self-sufficiency, and the myth of universal poverty in the old age. Second chapter focuses on the definition of aging and old age, retirement and the issue of population ageing. Third chapter deals with the content analysis of the articles of the selected social policy or social work journals, which aims to find out how specialized periodicals reflect poverty in old age and the relation of social work, fourth chapter is devoted to the discussion of the results of the content analysis mentioned above.
