The function and clinical application of lipoprotein(a)

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce na téma Lipoprotein (a) je zaměřena na funkci, význam a klinické využití lipoproteinu (a). Dále je zde popsána struktura, genetická výbava, hladina lipoproteinu v krvi, odběr a transport vzorku do laboratoře. Velmi významnou součástí lipoproteinu (a) je apolipoprotein (a), který má vysokou strukturální podobnost s molekulou plazminogenu. Lipoprotein (a) tak vykazuje významný antifibrinolytický efekt, který jej řadí mezi rizikové faktory aterosklerózy. Navíc byly popsány interakce lipoproteinu (a) s insulinem, leptinem a homocysteinem.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis with the title of the Lipoprotein (a) is aimed at the function, significance and clinical utility of lipoprotein (a). There is also described structure, genetic makeup, elevated lipoprotein in the blood, blood collection and sample transport to the laboratory. A very important part of lipoprotein (a) is apolipoprotein (a), which is highly structurally similar with plasminogen. Lipoprotein (a) has important antifibrinolytic effect, which is a reason for its inclusion between risk factors of atherosclerosis. In addition, the interactions of Lp (a) with insulin, leptin and homocysteine have been described.
