The current Integration Policy of the Czech Republic in the context of the Integration Policy of the European Union in practice

Abstract:

Vzhledem k posledním událostem na mezinárodní scéně je více než patrné, že mezinárodní migrace osob, a s ní nedílně spojená integrace cizinců, především v zemích Evropské unie nabývá na svém významu. To samé se dá říci o České republice, jejíž samostatná integrační politika má zatím, ve srovnání s jinými evropskými státy, poměrně krátkou historii, jedná se zde ale o stále aktuálnější téma, a to i vzhledem ke konstantně rostoucímu počtu přistěhovalců, kteří si Českou republiku vybírají jako cílovou destinaci. Výzvu mj. představuje koordinace české integrační politiky s tou evropskou. Cílem této práce je tedy zhodnotit, do jaké míry navazuje současná česká integrační politika na integrační politiku EU a jakým způsobem funguje v praxi.

Abstract:

Concerning the latest events on the international scene, it is more than obvious that international migration of people, and the connected integration of foreigners, especially in the countries of the European Union, is gaining in importance. The same can be said about the Czech Republic, even though its separate integration policy has rather short history compared to other European countries. However, it is an increasingly topical issue, also due to the constantly increasing number of migrants choosing the Czech Republic as their destination. The challenge is, among other things, to coordinate the Czech integration policy with the European one. The aim of this work is to analyze the extent to which the current Czech integration policy follows on the EU integration policy and how it works in practice.
