Forensic identification of persons based on handwriting

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na kriminalistickou identifikaci osob podle ručního písma a zkoumá, zda věk ovlivňuje rukopis pisatele. Teoretická část práce se věnuje pojmu písmoznalectví, vývoji písma a činitelům ovlivňujícím ruční písmo. Dále popisuje obory zkoumající ruční písmo, objekt písmoznaleckého zkoumání, srovnávací materiál a zásady zkoušek ručně psaných projevů. V praktické části porovnává texty jedné osoby z různých věkových období a zjišťuje změny v celkovém vzhledu písma, šikmosti, odsazení od řádků, používání velkých písmen a v patkových tvarech písmen a číslicích.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis focuses on forensic identification of individuals based on their handwriting and examines whether age affects a writer's handwriting. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the concept of graphology, the history of writing, and factors that influence handwriting. It also describes the fields of study that examine handwriting, the object of graphological examination, comparative material, and principles of testing handwritten expressions. In the practical part, the thesis compares texts written by the same person at different ages and identifies changes in the overall appearance of the handwriting, slant, line spacing, use of capital letters, and shapes of loops and numerals.
