Nature garden - A place for educating preschool children

Abstract:

Tato závěrečná práce se v teoretické části zabývá teorií a psychologickými východisky environmentální výchovy. Dále představuje teorii didaktických přístupů, které lze uplatnit v přírodní zahradě k edukaci předškolních dětí. V práci jsou uvedena kritéria a specifika přírodních zahrad, která jsou v této práci považována za jeden z podstatných aspektů při environmentální výchově. V praktické části se zabývám úpravou zahrady u dětské skupiny Little Monkeys v Roudnici nad Labem. Většina mateřských škol ve městech disponuje menšími zahradami. V této práci uvádím vlastní návrh úpravy přírodní zahrady, který je realizovatelný v zahradě menších rozměrů. V práci je prezentována činnost s dětmi, výroba hmyzího domku a skrýše pro škvory. Aktivity uvedené v závěrečné práci představují přírodní zahradu jako místo pro edukaci předškolních dětí.

Abstract:

This thesis is concerned with the theoretical and psychological basis of the environment education of preschool children. Further it reviews the theory of didactic approached that can be used in the nature garden to educating of preschool children. The thesis presents criteria and specifics of natural gardens, which are considered in this work as one of the essential aspects of environmental education. In the practical part, I present the im-provement proposal of the garden at the kindergarten Little Monkeys in Roudnice nad Labem. Most of kindergartens do not have large gardens available, so at the end of my work I present my own design which is realizable at smaller garden. In the thesis there are presented production of the insect´s house and the earwig´s hiding place. Activities mentioned there introduce the nature garden as a place for education of preschool children.
