Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na filmovou tvorbu Michaela Nymana, konkrétně na film The Piano. V první části bakalářské práce je popsán život skladatele Michaela Nymana, který se zdaleka nevěnuje jen tvorbě filmové hudby, a proto je nutné se o jeho práci zmínit v širším a ucelenějším kontextu. This bachelor thesis is focused on the film music of Michael Nyman, specifically on film The Piano. In the first part of my thesis I described a life of composer Michael Nyman, who made not only film music and therefore it is necessary to mention his work more widely, not only with connection to the main work of my thesis.
