Estimation of parameters of some probability distributions and their properties
Abstract:
Tato práce se zabývá bodovými odhady parametrů některých pravděpodobnostních rozdělení. Jedná se o normální, logaritmicko-normální, exponenciální, gama a Paretovo rozdělení. Pro výpočet odhadů je využíváno momentové a maximálně věrohodné metody a na základě simulací v programu R je provedeno srovnání těchto dvou metod. Abstract:
This thesis deals with point estimations of parametres of some probability distributions. More specifically, it includes normal, log-normal, exponencial, gamma and Paret distributions. In order to calculate parametres there is used a method of moment and maximum-likelihood estimation method and on the basis of simulations in program R there is made a comaparasion of these two methods.
