Optimization of the I/43 and II/150 Junction in the Context of the Future R43 Highway with an Emphasis on Traffic Safety

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá velmi aktuálním tématem, kterým je bezpečnost a plynulost v dopravě. Toto téma je aktuální vzhledem k současnému trendu, kdy se neustále zvyšuje intenzita dopravy na komunikacích. Tento trend má za následek zhoršení bezpečnosti na určitých úsecích, mezi nimiž jsou velmi často dopravní křižovatky. Konkrétně tato práce řeší optimalizaci konkrétní křižovatky, jíž je křižovatka silnic I/43 a II/150. V práci jsou navženy tři varianty možné optimalizace a řeší jak současný stav okolních komunikací, tak následně i budoucí stav s vybudovanou dálnicí resp. kapacitní silnicí I. třídy. K optimalizaci bylo využito medy simulace za pomoci softwaru PTV Vissim, a výsledkem jsou snímky ze softwaru a následným slovním vyhodnocením výsledků, ze kterých je patrná nejvhodnější varianta.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with a very topical issue, which is safety and fluidity in transport. This topic is topical due to the current trend of constantly increasing traffic volume on roads. This trend results in deterioration of safety on certain sections, which very often include traffic intersections. Specifically, this thesis deals with the optimization of a particular intersection, which is the intersection of roads I/43 and II/150. The thesis presents three variants of possible optimization and addresses both the current state of the surrounding roads and subsequently the future state with the construction of a motorway or a capacity class I road. Medy simulation using PTV Vissim software was used for the optimization, and the resulting snapshots from the software followed by a verbal evaluation of the results show the most suitable option.
