Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá reprezentací hispánských postav v českém dabingu a zkoumá tendence, které se v překladu vybraných zdrojů objevují. V úvodu práce jsou nastíněny metody audiovizuálního překladu a následně se teoretická část blíže zaměřuje na proces překladu pro dabing. Praktická část představuje analyzovaný materiál, seriály Orange is the New Black a Modern Family, a hispánské postavy v nich vystupující. Následně prezentuje výsledky analýzy českého dabingu a srovnává, jak jsou hispánské postavy v českém dabingu obou seriálů reprezentovány.

Abstract:

This thesis examines the representation of Hispanic characters in Czech dubbed formats and explores reappearing tendencies in the translations of selected sources. This thesis begins by outlining the methods of audiovisual translation, and then addresses the peculiarities of the dubbing process. The practical part introduces the analysed material, the series Orange is the New Black and Modern Family, and the featured Hispanic characters. This thesis then presents the results of the analysis of the Czech dubbing and compares how Hispanic characters are represented in the Czech dubbing of both series
