Abstract:

Cílem práce bylo popsat průběh gravidity a přípravu na porod v rámci edukace žen se sluchovým handicapem. Jako metodika práce byla zvolena metoda kvalitativního výzkumu ? řízený rozhovor. Data byla získávána v měsících březen 2012 až říjen 2012. Výzkumný soubor tvořilo 10 žen se sluchovým handicapem. Vstupní kritéria pro výběr respondentek byla ? sluchové znevýhodnění, minimálně jeden porod, věk žen maximálně 45 let. Všechny rozhovory proběhly za přítomnosti tlumočníka znakového jazyka. Získané informace byly zpracovány kvalitativní analýzou. Na základě analýzy dat a z obsahu teoretického rámce byly sestaveny základní kategorie a podkategorie. Z výsledků výzkumného šetření vyplývá, že ženy se sluchovým handicapem z výzkumného souboru byly nespokojeny s poskytovanou péčí v prenatálních poradnách i v nemocnici. Zdravotnický personál ženy needukoval dostatečně. Mnoho informací si ženy se sluchovým handicapem musely vyhledávat samy. Celková příprava na porod byla nedostatečná. V důsledku nedostatku informací a strachu z obtížné komunikace pociťovaly gravidní ženy se sluchovým handicapem v období těhotenství strach, obavy a úzkost a samotný porod byl ženami vnímán jako negativní zkušenost. Každý člověk si zaslouží úctu a respekt. Zdravotničtí pracovníci by měli toto umět vůči člověku projevit. Někdy se jedná o vhodně volená slova, jindy o vlídnost a trpělivost při práci, v podstatě i o snahu naučit se porozumět si s ženou se sluchovým handicapem.

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis is to describe the course of pregnancy and birth preparation in case of hearing impaired women. The thesis uses qualitative research methods, namely structured interview. The data were gained during the period of March 2012 until October 2012. Altogether ten women were interviewed, the criteria being ? hearing impairment, a minimum of one childbirth, age under 45. A sign language interpreter was present during all interviews. The information gained in these interviews was subject to a qualitative analysis. Based on this analysis and the contents of the theoretical framework, basic categories and subcategories were stipulated. The research suggests that the interviewed hearing impaired women were not satisfied with the care offered in prenatal care advisory centres and in hospitals. They were not sufficiently informed by medical staff. They had to look up a considerable amount of information on their own. They viewed the whole birth preparation process as insufficient. As a result, the pregnant hearing impaired women suffered from anxiety during pregnancy, viewed the communication with the medical and nursing staff as painful and difficult, and perceived the experience of giving birth as a negative one. Every person deserves to be respected and regarded. The medical staff should be able to express this to any client. Sometimes this can be achieved by the right choice of words or by demonstrating patience and kindness, essentially any attempt at understanding and efficient communication with a hearing impaired woman is viewed positively.
