This BA dissertation investigates the role that the hotel as an institution plays in literature where it is depicted as a separated, self-contained world on its own. This topic was a matter of particular interest to exile authors after 1933 who left their home country and therefore lost their identity and their subsistence as well. Abstract:
Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá rolí hotelu v literárních dílech. Hotel jako instituce je zde popisován jako specifický svět sám pro sebe. Práce se zaměřuje na exilové autory, kteří po roce 1933 opustili svou vlast a tim ztratili svou dosavadní identitu. Hlavním bodem je srovnání románů „Transit“ a „Hotel Baalbek“ odehrávajících v Marseille.
