Tématem práce jsou polní opevnění budovaná na slezsko-uherské hranici od druhé poloviny 16. do počátku 19. století. Systém opevnění nazývaný jablunkovskými šancemi sloužil k obraně slezské hranice před útoky nepřátel z Uher. The theme of this work are field fortifications built on the Silesian-Hungarian border from the second half of the 16th to the beginning of the 19th century. A fortification system called the Jablunkov fortifications served to defend the Silesian border against attacks by enemies from Hungary.
