Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá rozborem tématu duševní hygieny v manažerské praxi. V teoretické části je postupně rozebrána klasická role manažera a způsoby manažerského řízení. Poté plynule navazuje výklad pojmu duševní hygiena, sebeřízení, stres a time management. Práce vykresluje potenciální cestu k nalezení duševního klidu, zdravému životnímu stylu a další východiska tohoto tématu. Hlavním cílem praktické části je pomocí hloubkových rozhovorů se vzorkem tří respondentů-manažerů vybrané společnosti zjistit, jakým způsobem ve své praxi aplikují principy duševní hygieny a jakým způsobem pečují o zdraví své duše, aby bez újmy na zdraví zvládali vykonávat tak náročné povolání. Po odhalení nedostatků v oblasti psychohygieny bude snahou nalézt konkrétní rady a doporučení pro případná zlepšení ve sledovaných oblastech. Přínosem diplomové práce je hlubší vhled do života jednotlivých manažerů a odhalení důležitosti, kterou psychohygieně přisuzují. Tato práce si však neklade za cíl být detailním výkladem tak vyčerpávajícího a obsáhlého tématu jakým duševní hygiena je. Na to by stěží postačilo těchto pár stran. Snaží se však čtenáři objasnit a přiblížit, alespoň její základní principy a zdůraznit její význam pro spokojený život.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis analyses the topic of mental hygiene in managerial practice. The theoretical part explains the role of a manager and managerial environment itself. Detailed concept of mental hygiene, self-esteem, stress and time management follows. Through-out the thesis is showed a potential way how to reach mental peace, healthy lifestyle, and other points of the subject. The main objective of the practical part is to determine how managers employed by a specifically selected company apply principles of mental hygiene and how they are responsible for their mental health together with managing such a challenging profession. The research is completed through in-depth interviews with a sample of three respondents. After discovering the deficiencies in the area of the manager´s mental health habits, specific advices and recommendations for possible improvements are described. The benefit of the diploma thesis is a deeper insight into the life of observed managers and the importance of their attribute to mental health. The thesis does not aim to be a detailed explanation of such a wide topic as mental hygiene is as these few pages would hardly be enough. However, it points out the approaches of the main subject to a reader thought basic principles and its importance for human life and happiness.
