Analysis of selected financial indicators of the carsharing market segment and its comparison with other transport services

Abstract:

Předmětem bakalářské práce je analýza výhodnosti využití služeb carsharingu ve srovnání s využíváním vlastního automobilu. Cílem práce je posoudit, zda je pro podnik výhodnější investovat do rozšíření vlastního vozového parku nebo využívat služby sdílené dopravy. V první části práce je rozebrán přehled minulého i současného stavu carsharingu v České republice, a jeho významu v kontextu moderní mobility. Dále je provedena analýza nákladů spojených se sdílenými vozidly a s vlastnictvím a provozováním soukromých automobilů. Metodologie výzkumu zahrnuje sběr dat z dostupných zdrojů, výpočty a porovnání výsledků. Závěry práce naznačují, že pro určité varianty využívání automobilů v denním chodu společnosti může být výhodnější využití carsharingu než vlastnictví automobilu. Tato práce přispívá k lepšímu porozumění ekonomických aspektů carsharingu a jeho možného využití v praxi.

Abstract:

The subject of the bachelor thesis is the analysis of the advantage of using carsharing services in comparison with using your own car. The aim of the thesis is to assess whether it is more profitable for a company to invest in the expansion of its own vehicle fleet or to use carsharing services. In the first part of the thesis, an overview of the past and current state of carsharing in the Czech Republic and its importance in the context of modern mobility is discussed. Furthermore, an analysis of the costs associated with carsharing and the ownership and operation of private cars is conducted. The research methodology includes data collection from available sources, calculations and comparison of results. The conclusions of the paper suggest that for certain variants of car use in the daily running of a company, carsharing may be more beneficial than car ownership. This thesis contributes to a better understanding of the economic aspects of carsharing and its potential use in practice.
