Anorexia Nervosa in the Draw a Family Test

Abstract:

Tématem diplomové práce je Kresba rodiny adolescentních dívek s diagnózou mentální anorexie. Naším cílem bylo nalézt základní znaky v projektivní technice Kresba rodiny signifikantní pro kresby dívek s mentální anorexií. 14 znaků snížení a zvýšení hodnoty postav členů rodiny jsme vymezili na základě studia literatury. Kresby rodiny dívek s mentální anorexií jsme ve vymezených znacích srovnávali s kresbami dívek bez mentální anorexie. Předpokládali jsme, že v kresbách rodiny dívek s diagnózou mentální anorexie se budou některé z námi vymezených znaků statisticky významně častěji vyskytovat než v kresbách rodiny dívek bez diagnózy mentální anorexie. Výzkumný soubor tvořilo 40 dívek s dg. mentální anorexie (průměrný věk 16,4 let) a kontrolní soubor tvořilo 40 dívek (průměrný věk 16,6 let) studujících gymnázium bez dg. mentální anorexie. Dívkám jsme administrovali Kresbu rodiny s instrukcí „Nakreslete vlastní rodinu.“ Znaky v kresbách jsme zpracovávali kvantitativně. Po statistické analýze se potvrdil náš předpoklad ve znacích: Pořadí zakreslení postavy matky první, Vynechané ruce u postavy otce, Odstup postavy matky, otce, sourozence, autora kresby, Vyčernění postavy autora kresby, Gumování postavy otce, Ohraničení postavy otce, matky, autora kresby. Součástí práce bylo kvalitativní zpracování kreseb formou tří kazuistik. Data jsme zpracovávali na základě hodnocení a interpretace informací získaných z pozorování probanda při kresbě, anamnestických údajů, rozhovoru nad kresbou, inquiry a dotazníku ADOR, který ve výzkumu využíváme pro porovnání závěrů plynoucích z interpretace kreseb se standardizovanou metodou zaměřenou na diagnostiku rodinných vztahů.

Abstract:

The theme of our diploma thesis is the Draw a family test of adolescent girls with anorexia nervosa. The aim of our study was to find basic indicators in the projective technique Draw a family test typical to family drawings of girls with anorexia nervosa. 14 indicators of devalorization and valorization of family members figures was defined on the basis of study the special literature. We compared family drawings of girls with anorexia nervosa and family drawings of girls without anorexia nervosa in the defined indicators. We expected that family drawings of girls with anorexia nervosa statistically significantly differed from family drawings of girls without anorexia nervosa by some defined indicators. The research was carried out with the sample of 40 adolescent girls with anorexia nervosa (average age was 16,4), the control group were 40 girls without symtoms of anorexia nervosa studied secondary school (average age 16,6). Both groups were administred The Draw a family test with instruction: “Draw your family”. The idnicators in the drawings we proccesed quantitaive analyses. Statistic analyses testified our hypothesis in these indicators: Mother figure drawn first, Omitted father figure hands, Distance of mother figure, Distance of father figure, Distance of sibling figure, Distance of author of drawing, Father figure crosshatched, Father figure qummed, Father figure bounded, Mother figure bounded, Author of drawing bounded. Part of our study was qualitative analyse of family drawings designed to three case studies. We processed data on the base of evaluation and interpretation of information obtained from observation girls during the drawing family, anamnesis, conversation about the drawing and inquiry and the results of the standardized questionnaire ADOR specialized to diagnostics family relationships, which we used in our study to confront conlusions of interpretaion of family drawings.
