The Medieval Knight - a Great Warrior and a Worthy Example to Follow (the Image in Literature)
Abstract:
This thesis is focused on one of the medieval moral figures - the knight. It refers to the beginning of knighthood, rules the knights had to folow, and their characteristic. Of all the great knights the work focuses on five representatives from different countries. The thesis is concerned with how literature illustrates the knightly ideal.
Abstract:
Tato práce se zaměřuje na jeden z morálních vzorů středověku - rytíře. Poukazuje na počátky rytířství, jakými pravidly se rytíři museli řídit, čím se charakterizovali. Ze všech velkých rytířů, se práce soustřeďuje na pětici zástupců z různých zemí. Zaměřuje se na to, jak literatura znázorňuje tento rytířský ideál.
