Strategy for the prevention of domestic violence and gender-based violence in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce s názvem Strategie prevence domácího násilí a genderově podmíněného násilí v České republice se zaměřuje na systematické zkoumání a analyzování Akčního plánu prevence domácího a genderově podmíněného násilí pro období 2015-2018 a období 2019-2022. V teoretické části práce je definováno domácí a genderově podmíněné násilí a jeho následky pro oběť. Důraz bude kladen na identifikaci opatření, která dosáhla menší úspěšnosti či zcela selhala, například v kontextu výslechových místností a frekvence opakovaných výslechů obětí domácího a genderově podmíněného násilí. Analýza bude zahrnovat zhodnocení implementace opatření, statistické údaje a využití relevantních zdrojů, včetně vládních dokumentů a zpráv nevládních organizací. Cílem této práce je poskytnout komplexní pohled na efektivitu opatření v boji proti domácímu násilí a přispět k diskusi o optimálních strategiích prevence v konkrétním specifickém kontextu.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis titled "Prevention strategy for domestic violence and gender-based violence in the Czech Republic" focuses on the systematic examination and analysis of the Action plan for the prevention of domestic and gender-based violence for the periods 2015-2018 and 2019-2022. In the theoretical part of the thesis, domestic and gender-based violence are defined, along with their consequences for the victim. Emphasis will be placed on identifying measures that have achieved limited success or have completely failed, such as the context of interview rooms and the frequency of repeated interviews of victims of domestic and gender-based violence. The analysis will include an evaluation of the implementation of measures, statistical data, and the use of relevant sources, including government documents and reports from non-governmental organizations. The aim of this thesis is to provide a comprehensive view of the effectiveness of measures in combating domestic violence and contribute to the discussion on optimal prevention strategies in a specific context.
