The attitudes of high school students to truancy

Abstract:

Bakalářská diplomová práce se zabývá jevem záškoláctví. Problematika je konkrétně zaměřena na postoje žáků středních škol k tomuto jevu. Teoretická část se zabývá definováním, typologií a výskytem samotného záškoláctví s ohledem na jeho legislativní vymezení. Taktéž jsou definovány postoje, je rozebrána jejich struktura a vysvětlen vznik. V poslední části je popsáno, jak možnost ovlivňovat své vytvořené postoje, může prakticky ovlivňovat i jev záškoláctví. Na základě odborné literatury jsou tak vymezeny motivy, které žáky k provozování záškoláctví mohou vést. Empirická část práce pomocí dotazníku vlastního konstruktu zjišťuje postoje žáků středních škol k záškoláctví z pohledu dvou složek postojů (konativní a emotivní). Dále zjišťuje, které motivy k realizaci daného jevu vedou žáky nejčastěji.

Abstract:

This bachelor diploma thesis is about the phenomenon of truancy. The issue is specifically focused on high school students and their attitude to this phenomenon. The theoretical part describes the definition, typology and occurrence of truancy and the legislative, which concerns the issue. Then there are also defined attitudes, discussed structures and their origin explained. And the last part describes, how the phenomenon of truancy itself can be practically affected by the possibility of changing one's own acquired attitudes. Based on professional literature, the motives that can lead students to truancy are defined. The empirical part of the work using the questionnaire of its own identifies the attitudes of the students of high schools to truancy from the perspective of two components of attitude (behavioral and affective). It also identifies, which motives most often lead students to the realization of truancy.
