Anti-slip protection and control of the traction motor of a rail vehicle

Abstract:

The purpose of the thesis is an overview of the anti-slip protection control system for the use in rail vehicle based upon literature resources. To fulfil our purpose, in the first part of our thesis, theoretical background information about slip, adhesion, slip detection method and control method of slip have been revised. In the second part of the study, mechanical description such as locomotive model and adhesion model was defined for simulation. A simple two axle locomotive similar to ČKD/CZ-LOCO with 10 DoF analysed analytically and necessary equations obtained for numerical computation. Then adhesion model have been defined using Freibauer/Polach to derive the equation of the adhesion forces in the front and rear wheelset of the locomotive. For the purpose of the Electric motor, approximated model of an induction is used in simulation. For the results of the dynamic simulation, finite difference method is used. The third part of the thesis includes the slip detection and control method algorithm. Five slip detection algorithms, which are ?Velocity difference control Method?, ?Slip Control with Reference Wheelset?, ?Slip Control with angular acceleration of wheelset?, ?Slip Control with Reference Slip Generator? and ?Steepest Gradient method with PI controller?, are described. In the last part of the thesis, simulation results of five control algorithms have been evaluated. The comparison between the control systems in terms of performance and effectivity is carried out.

Abstract:

Účelem této práce je představení protiskluzové ochrany používané v železničních vozidlech založené na literárních zdrojích. K dosažení vytyčeného cíle jsou v první části naší práce shrnuty teoretické základní informace o skluzu, přilnavosti, metodě detekce skluzu a kontrolní metodě skluzu. V druhé části studie, mechanický popis jako model lokomotivy a model přilnavosti byly definovány pro simulaci. Jednoduchá dvounápravová lokomotiva podobná ČKD/CZ-LOCO s 10 stupni volnosti byla analyzována analyticky a potřebné rovnice byly získané pro numerické výpočty. Potom model přilnavosti byl definován použitím Freibauer/Polach na odvození rovnice adhezních sil v předním a zadním dvojkolí lokomotivy. Pro účely elektromotoru je použit v simulaci přibližný model indukce. Pro výsledky dynamické simulace byla použita metoda konečného rozdílu. Třetí část této práce zahrnuje detekci skluzu a algoritmus kontrolní metody. Zde je popsaných pět algoritmů detekce skluzu: Kontrolní metoda rychlostního rozdílu?, ?Kontrola skluzu s referenčním dvojkolím?, ?Kontrola skluzu s úhlovou rychlostí dvojkolí?, ?Kontrola skluzu s referenčním generátorem skluzu? a ?Metoda nejstrmějšího stoupání s PI regulátorem?. V poslední části práce jsou hodnoceny výsledky simulace pěti kontrolních algoritmů. Bylo provedeno porovnání mezi kontrolními systémy z hlediska výkonu a efektivity.
