Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou dobývání renty ("rent seeking") a jeho vlivem na hospodářskou výkonnost regionů Evropské unie. Zaměřuje se na přístupy vysvětlující mechanizmus dobývání renty a hodnocení jeho vlivu na hospodářskou výkonnost ekonomik regionů.
