Diplomová práca sa zaoberá analýzou príčin vzniku svetovej finančnej krízy, spôsobenými dopadmi na ekonomiky postihnutých krajín, a taktiež hodnotí možné riešenia finančnej krízy. Prvá časť vysvetľuje základné pojmy a druhy finančných kríz. V druhej časti práca opisuje regionálne finančné krízy na prelome 20. a 21. storočia.
