Specific language and speech resources in the Members' question time

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá verbálními i neverbálními prostředky v oficiálních veřejných projevech mluvčích, konkrétně interpelacích poslanců na předsedu vlády. Analýza jazykového materiálu je zaměřena na stránku zvukovou, lexikální, stylistickou, rétorickou a také sleduje neverbální a persvazivní prostředky užívané v projevech. Některé pasáže jsou věnovány charakteristice specifických prostředků pro politickou praxi.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with an official public speeches of public speakers, namely the parliamentary question time. It focuses on acoustic, lexical level point of view and also the non-verbal elements of communication. Further on the persuasive instruments being used by speakers. The public speakers in parliament are using in their discourse standard Czech language with not so much deficiencies in pronunciation. Our leaders are using a lot of specific resources to affect recipients. For example the selection of topics, style, vocabulary, phraseology, non-verbal communication. The politicians want to show to voters their efforts of solving problems. They are using all this persuasive resource also for discrediting a political opponents.
