Kompetence jsou schopnosti, dovednosti a znalosti projevené v praxi. Dělíme je na obecné, tvrdé a měkké kompetence. Vysoká úroveň měkkých kompetencí je často žádaná po zaměstnancích i uchazečích o zaměstnání. Na druhou stranu k měření jejich úrovně máme víceméně jen časově a finančně náročné metody. Competencies are abilities, skills and knowledge’s proved in work. They are divided into general skills, hard skills and soft skills. Employers are requesting high level of soft skills from their employees and also from the job applicants.
